Mary Dunne

Singer / Songwriter

Mary Dunne
Award-winning singer-songwriter Mary Dunne returned to Donegal three years ago after thirty five years overseas - starting in London where she played in blues and jazz clubs.
Eight years in Tokyo was a whirlwind mix of Irish trad, rhythm and blues, musical theatre, a soap opera, tv and movies. She recorded her first solo album (“Coolatee”) which culminated in a tour of Japan, UK and Ireland,
finishing up with a performance on RTE’s “Kenny Live”.
Performing for the Japanese Royal family has got to be right up there as an unforgettable experience.
Fast forward through Beijing, Toronto , Ireland and finally New Zealand, where Mary recorded her second solo album of mostly originals (“Over the Water”). Plus two band albums - Molly’s Remedy “We’ve got This” and the
self titled “Braggins and Wardrop and Dunne” album released in 2022.
Now home, Mary is very proud to be Musical Director for The Finn Valley
Mens Choir and The Newland Choir.
She is currently back in the studio working on brand new material.
