Darren Flynn is a singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland, crafting his own blend of Americana-infused folk country pop. He received a nomination for the Choice Music Award (the Irish equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize) as part of his previous band, Mongrel State, and has emerged as a solo artist delivering his own distinctive entertaining style of music, at once both retro and modernist.
His music has been described as "compelling" (Irish Times) and with &"a great bustling, rousing energy" (Irish Mirror). Flynn’s unique musical authenticity and his joyful and uplifting approach to his music and performances have gained him much attention.

His many domestic festival appearances include The Electric Picnic, Kilkenny Roots Festival, Vantastival, and Sligo Live. His European shows include Noget Bedre (Denmark), Feito a Man Festival,
Santiago De Compostela (Spain). Flynn’s live performances are well known for his uplifting infectious energy and down to earth artistry. He’s been described as "Mighty fine ...perfect
for a hooch special" - Brian Lally, RTE Radio, and has been described as “reckless brilliance...” - Stephen White, The Last Mixed Tape. Flynn’s previous releases have gained a variety of support from radio including Radio Nova, KCLR96FM and Cork 96FM. He has also performed live on National Irish
Television (RTE 1), and recorded sessions for National Irish Radio (RTE Radio 1). His tracks have also featured across numerous playlists across streaming platforms, and his videos have gained over half a million views across social media.
Having recently spent time writing and recording, Flynn is set to return in 2026 with a series of new singles, which are being released throughout the year. He will be supporting
the releases with selected performances across Ireland and Europe with what looks set to be a very busy year for this rising talent.
